KEENE, NH - About 30 activists from the Monadnock Region raised their signs and voices today on Route 9 in front of Army Corps of Engineers run Otter Brook State Park.
A native drum beat and a didgeridoo horn sounded during the demonstration while activists sang, chanted, waved to motorists and were honked at in support of their message,"water is life".
Children as young as four participated in standing for water protection and respect of indigenous lives, land and ancestors. Some were joining a demonstration for the first time ever. Others were preparing to bring supplies to Standing Rock next week. Many asked for additional events in support.
